It´s very yellow here. The dirt, the buildings, even the trees fare on the yellow side of green. Not a brilliant yellow, but a yellowish brown. When I was in Spain my senior year of high school we came in February, so I imagined the yellow color to be a product of winter, envisioning summer to be more colorful, but apparently not.
My host family is very friendly. They don´t speak much english, but in the 24 hours I have been here, I can already tell my Spanish is coming back. I can understand enough to get by for now, but I'm having trouble formulating complex sentances and thoughts. I´ve said a lot of 'si' and 'no' and 'yo se' or 'no se'. (yes, no, i know, i don´t know). That should change soon though. This morning we had some time to kill after we were done with the placement exam and a group of eight of us went walking around for a bit and ended up sitting outside a cafe for a while. It was fun. Anyways. I need to go so I can figure out which classes I am going to take. Classes start tomorrow.
Love you!
