In the four and a half days I have been here, I have learned several things.
1. Spaniards like American music. A lot. That's about all I hear playing in stores, on TV, blaring from taxis and the city buses, and even at my house. I've heard everything from Jason Mraz, to Lady Gaga to Ke$ha, to Michael Buble to Grease. It's crazy. If it weren't for most signs and things being in Spanish, I would think I was in the US. (Okay maybe not, but still.)
2. One can buy beer everywhere. EVERYwhere. Even at McDonalds (no joke!).
3. Siestas are amazing. Why don't we have them in America?! People would be so much happier! Just about everything closes from about 3 or 4pm for a couple hours so people can go home and nap. And after a couple hours, stores open back up for a couple more hours before closing for the night. It's amazing. I love it.
